Career Enhancement Program

The PHPA Career Enhancement Program (CEP) assists both current and former PHPA Members make a smooth transition to their post hockey career.  Whether offering exclusive programs, discounted tuition fees, career counseling, resume and job interview preparation, or connecting players with job opportunities, the CEP has worked with over 2,000 players since its inception in 1997.

 

Partnerships with educational institutions such as Oregon State University, Athabasca University, University at Buffalo, and others provide players the opportunity to take online classes on their schedule to advance their education. Other programs such as FESTI (Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute), Coldwell Banker, and the NHL Exposure Combine which provides training to become an on-ice official"

 

The PHPA Sticks to Bricks program provides opportunities for players to develop skills in the building trades.  Similarly, companies such as the FLYNN Group and several others have offered to hire current and former players, knowing players are typically motivated, hard-working, coachable, and can excel at working in a team environment.

 

Any current or former PHPA Member as well as their immediate family members are eligible to participate in the Career Enhancement Program.
