The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) is pleased to announce that the 2023 PHPA Annual Meeting of Player Representatives will be hosted at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida from June 19 – 23, 2023. 

The annual week-long series of meetings affords PHPA Player Representatives, Executive Committee members, staff, and Advisors the opportunity to review the Association’s operations during past year, plan for the upcoming season, as well as provide input and direction with respect to long-term strategic objectives.

During the meetings, one Player Representative from each American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL team participate in open discussion on a variety of topics including items within each League’s respective Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Players gain valuable information on the Business Operations of the PHPA, hear from expert attorneys with respect to legal issues impacting players and workers’ compensation, and perhaps most unique, players are encouraged to bring forth any items or issues during a closed-door interactive meeting with their respective League President / Commissioner. 

The PHPA Golf Outing Presented by BFL CANADA Risk & Insurance Services, Inc. will take place Thursday, June 22nd with the Closing Banquet held the following evening where the PHPA will present Peter Vandermeer with the Curt Leichner Distinguished Member Award and Marty Flichel with the Executive Director’s Honouring the Past Award, followed by a performance from world renown hypnotist Danny Zzzz!
