The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel Sports Supplements are pleased to announce the March 2014 BioSteel Award Winners from the American Hockey League (AHL), ECHL, and Central Hockey League (CHL).
Zach Boychuk of the Charlotte Checkers receives the AHL BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistent play throughout the month. In 16 games played, Boychuk posted 9 goals and 13 assists for 22 points and went +5. Boychuk’s play throughout March has helped him earn a tie for the league lead in goals with 32.
In the ECHL, Rocco Carzo of the Ontario Reign receives the BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistency throughout the month of March. In 12 games played, Carzo recorded 4 goals and 10 assists for 14 points and went +8, including a 9-game point streak.
Missouri Mavericks forward Eric Castonguay receives the CHL BioSteel Award for his high performance after posting 6 goals and 15 assists for 21 points in only 14 games. He was a +6 and strung together a 7-game point streak during the month.
Each player will receive complementary BioSteel product in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
