December BioSteel Sports Supplements – PHPA Award Recipients

The Professional Hockey Players’ Association and BioSteel Sports Supplements are pleased to announce the December 2013 BioSteel Award Winners from the American Hockey League (AHL), ECHL, and Central Hockey League (CHL).

Andy Miele of the Portland Pirates receives the AHL BioSteel Award for his high performance throughout the month. Miele tallied 7 goals and 7 assists for 14 points in 11 games played, recording points in 8 of 11 games played.

South Carolina Stingrays goaltender Jeff Jakaitis receives the ECHL BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistent play going undefeated throughout the month, posting a 6-0 record along with a sparkling 1.00 Goals Against Average and .966 save percentage including 2 shutouts. 

In the CHL, Garret Bembridge of the Denver Cutthroats receives the BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistency throughout the month of December.  In 10 games played Bembridge posted 9 goals and 9 assists for 18 points, recording at least a point in every game.  He currently leads the League in overall scoring.

Each player will receive complementary BioSteel product in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
