The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of March.
Alex Limoges of the San Diego Gulls receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high performance and consistency during the month. In 13 games, Limoges recorded nine goals and seven assists for 16 points, and went +7. From March 5 – 27, he scored points in 10 of 11 games, including his first career hattrick on March 23rd. Limoges was also named AHL Player of the Week for the period ending March 27th.
In the ECHL, defenseman Ben Finkelstein of the Newfoundland Growlers receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating high performance and consistent play after recording 24 points (6 goals + 18 assists) in 12 games throughout March. Finkelstein also led the league with a +17 during the month, recording a plus-minus rating of even or better in all 12 games. He currently leads all ECHL defensemen in assists with 43.
Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
