The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel Sports Supplements are pleased to announce the January 2014 BioSteel Award Winners from the American Hockey League (AHL), ECHL, and Central Hockey League (CHL).

Travis Morin of the Texas Stars receives the AHL BioSteel Award for his high performance throughout the month. Morin tallied 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points in 11 games played, including 6 multiple point games.   He will represent the Texas Stars at next week’s AHL All-Star Classic.   

In the ECHL, Anthony Luciani of the Cincinnati Cyclones receives the BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistency throughout the month of January.  In 11 games played, Luciani notched 10 goals and 9 assists for 19 points and went +7.  He recorded points in 9 of 11 games, including a 6-game point streak and 5 multiple point games.

Arizona Sundogs goaltender Andrew Engelage receives the CHL BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistent play after posting 9 wins in 10 games played.  Engelage put together a string of 3 consecutive shutouts during the month and is now among the league leaders in both goals against average and save percentage.

Each player will receive complementary BioSteel product in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
