The Professional Hockey Players’ Association and BioSteel are pleased to announce the January 2020 PHPA-BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients from the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL. 

Justin Bailey of the Utica Comets receives the AHL BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistency demonstrated throughout the month of January.  Bailey recorded 12 goals and 5 assists for 17 points and plus-minus rating of +4 over 11 games played with the Comets in January. His outstanding month included three hat-tricks, including two of them in back-to-back games, a seven-game point streak while only being held off the scoresheet twice out of 11 contests.

In the ECHL, Tyler Sheehy of the Allen Americans receives the BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistency.  In the month of January, Sheehy played in 8 games where he recorded an impressive 6 goals and 9 assists for 15 points.  The 24-year-old from Burnsville, MN was only held off the score sheet in two contests over January, while recording 6 multi point games including back-to-back three-point nights.

Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month of January.
