The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of December.

Brett Sutter of the Calgary Wranglers receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his consistent play and high performance during the past month and throughout his entire career.  On December 21^st, Sutter played in his 1000^th career AHL game becoming only the eighth player in league history to do so.  He recorded the game winning goal and added an assist on his memorable night.  Sutter finished the month with 8 points in 10 games (4 goals and 4 assists) and a +6 rating.  The Calgary Wranglers Captain is playing in his 16^th professional season.

In the ECHL, Michal Stinil of the Wichita Thunder receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating high performance and consistency.  Throughout December, Stinil recorded 25 points in 12 games, including 10 goals and 15 assists and was +4.  The 23-year old from the Czech Republic posted 10 multiple point games during December and moved into a tie for second place in the ECHL in overall points. 

Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
