The PHPA and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of January.
T.J. Tynan of the Ontario Reign receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating consistent play and high performance throughout the month of January. Tynan recorded an impressive 25 points (3 goals plus 22 assists) in 14 games and was +4. He ended the month on an eight-game point streak, collecting 3 or more points in a game on three separate occasions. Tynan was selected to represent the Reign at the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic.
In the ECHL, goaltender Rémi Poirier of the Idaho Steelheads receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high performance and consistency. In 6 starts throughout January, Poirier went 6-0-0 with a sparkling 1.32 goals against average and .947 save percentage, including a shutout. The Dallas Stars prospect currently leads the ECHL in goals against average and save percentage.
