The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of March.
Jonny Brodzinski of the Hartford Wolf Pack receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high performance and consistency during the month. In 11 games with the Wolf Pack, Brodzinski recorded 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points, and went +7. Hartford’s Captain had 6 multi-point games, including a 5-point night on the 24th against Springfield. Brodzinski’s efforts were rewarded with a recall to the New York Rangers during March.
In the ECHL, defenseman Jalen Smereck of the Cincinnati Cyclones receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating high performance and consistent play after recording 3 goals and 9 assists in 12 games throughout March. Smereck also finished near the top of the league with a +14 during the month. He currently sits in the top 8 in points for ECHL defensemen with 43 points in 48 games.
Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
