The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of March.
Manitoba Moose goaltender Thomas Milic receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high-performance and consistency during the month. In 12 games with the Moose, Milic posted an impressive 9-2-1 record highlighted by a 7-0-0 run from March 2nd – 19th which included a 29 save shutout against Milwaukee on March 13th. The Winnipeg Jets prospect from Coquitlam, British Columbia finished the month with a 2.16 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.
In the ECHL, forward Brandon Hawkins of the Toledo Walleye receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating high performance and consistent play after recording 20 points (6 goals and 14 assists) in 16 games with a +11 rating. Toledo’s Assistant Captain from Macomb, Michigan started the month on a six-game point streak and now sits atop the ECHL in goals (38) and points (88).
Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
