The Professional Hockey Players’ Association and BioSteel Sports are pleased to announce the January 2015 BioSteel Players of the Month from the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL.
Teemu Pulkkinen of the Grand Rapids Griffins receives the AHL BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistency tallying 6 goals and 5 assists for 11 points in 7 games played throughout January. Pulkinnen also represented the Griffins at the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic where he recorded a goal for the Western Conference en route to a 14-12 victory. He was recalled by the Detroit Red Wings earlier in the month and registered a goal against Minnesota on January 20th.
In the ECHL, Casey Pierro-Zabotel of the Gwinnett Gladiators receives the BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistent play. In 13 games played, Pierro-Zabotel recorded 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points to go along with a +6, registering points in 11 of 13 games throughout the month, including 8 multiple point games.
Both players will receive complementary BioSteel product in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
