The Professional Hockey Players’ Association and BioSteel are pleased to announce the November 2016 BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients from the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL.
Anthony Stolarz of the Lehigh-Valley Phantoms receives the AHL BioSteel Award for his high performance and consistency throughout the month. With four wins in four games played for the Phantoms throughout November, Stolarz posted a .939 save percentage along with 1 shutout. Consequently, he made his NHL debut with the Philadelphia Flyers on November 27, where he picked up his first NHL win, kicking aside 29 shots in a 5-3 victory over the Calgary Flames.
In the ECHL, Justin Buzzeo of the Atlanta Gladiators receives the BioSteel Award for demonstrating high performance and consistent play throughout the month. Buzzeo currently sits atop the ECHL point’s standings, aided by his 21 points (7g, 14a) in the month of November. He has recorded 28 points (8g, 20a) through 22 games.
Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the second month of the regular season.
