(NIAGARA FALLS, ON) The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union, announced today a new multi-year partnership establishing Meridian Credit Union as the Official Financial Institution of the PHPA.

As part of the partnership, Meridian will become the Presenting Sponsor of the PHPA Grow with the Pros! Mentor Program, a grassroots community-based initiative that connects professional hockey players with minor hockey players, featuring on-ice coaching as well as an ongoing off-ice mentorship component. 

Meridian Credit Union will also receive presenting sponsor status of the PHPA’s official website and players mobile app, connecting them with thousands of fans across Canada and the U.S.  In addition, Meridian will be part of the PHPA Annual Meeting of Player Representatives, annual Fall Enrollment Tour, and other community programs.
