The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) and BioSteel are pleased to announce the PHPA – BioSteel Performer of the Month Award recipients for the month of October.
Dustin Tokarski of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for his high performance and consistency to begin the season. In 5 starts during October, Tokarski sported a 4-0-1 record to go along with a league leading 1.38 goals against average and .949 save percentage. He finished the month tied for the league lead in wins and allowed only one goal in each of his last four starts.
In the ECHL, Isaac Johnson of the Newfoundland Growlers receives the BioSteel Performer of the Month Award for demonstrating high performance and consistent play throughout the first month of the season. Johnson registered at least one point in each of the Growlers’ first five games finishing the month with five goals and six assists. He tied for the lead league in points (11) along with a +10 during the month, helping the Growlers to an undefeated record throughout October.
Both players will receive a prize package courtesy of BioSteel in recognition of their accomplishments throughout the month.
