The Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA) is pleased to announce the 2016 PHPA Annual Meeting of Player Representatives will be hosted at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida from June 20 – 24^th, 2016. 

This annual week-long series of meetings affords Player Representatives, Executive Committee members, PHPA staff, and Advisors an opportunity to review the past year, plan for the upcoming season, as well as provide input and direction with respect to the Association’s long-term strategic objectives. 

During the meetings, one Player Representative from each American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL team participate in open discussion on a variety of Collective Bargaining and other League and PHPA issues.  Players gain valuable information on the Business Operations of the PHPA, hear from expert attorneys regarding Hockey Operations and workers’ compensation, and perhaps most unique, players are encouraged to bring forth any items during a closed-door meeting with their respective League President / Commissioner.  

In 2015, more than 50 players, along with an array of PHPA staff, advisors, attorneys, representatives from other Player Associations, and corporate partners including Scotiabank, the Official Financial Institution of the PHPA and Reebok-CCM Hockey attended the PHPA Annual Meeting of Player Representatives. 

The annual Golf Outing will again be presented by BFL CANADA Risk & Insurance Services, Inc. while Sutton Special Risk, BDO International, AON, IOA, and Programmed Insurance Brokers (PIB), continue their support as presenting sponsors, allowing the PHPA to host a professional and informative meeting.
