Research Report: ‘Work-Life Balance and Conflict in Minor Professional Hockey’

March 4, 2015

Over the past year, the PHPA worked closely with a team of professors from Brock University in St.Catharines, Ontario, Canada to better understand the sort of challenges PHPA Members have experienced while trying to balance a professional hockey career and family responsibilities.  The results of this study will help the PHPA understand how to better support players and their families on these issues at the bargaining table.

The team of researchers conducted confidential interviews with PHPA Members and/or spouses, and have put together a Final Research Report titled: ‘Work-Life Balance and Conflict in Minor Professional Hockey’.
